A 50 hectare site in and around the Elizabeth City Centre complex will be redeveloped to become the Playford Sports Precinct. The precinct will incorporate the Aquadome, Elizabeth Oval, Ridley Reserve, Spruance Oval, Elizabeth Fremont High School and the Kuarna Plains School.
The Playford Sports Precinct will provide a regional centre for sports in the northern area, offering a wide range of sport facilities and activities for the community.
Key features of the project include building an indoor sports centre, a new lawn bowls facility, a tennis court complex, school oval upgrades, a soccer hub and creation of an events space to facilitate large scale sporting and community events.
The Playford Sports Precinct will help create a focus on community health and wellbeing and will support the renewal of adjoining suburbs.

The project will conclude in 2023.
