NASSSA Community Learning Centre
- 700 SACE outcomes for currently disengaged students
- Contribute to positive social and community outcomes in the region with greater numbers of residents obtaining SACE and progressing to further education and training.
The Northern Adelaide State Secondary Schools’ Alliance (NASSSA) Community Learning Centre enables Flexible Learning Option-enrolled young people aged 16-19 to have access to South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) accredited learning in youth spaces in their communities.
The Centre provides access to over 35 high quality community based SACE accredited learning programs and seeks to achieve 700 SACE outcomes for students in northern Adelaide during 2016.
The NASSSA Community Learning Centre offers a flexible approach to curriculum delivery and access to a multidisciplinary team that includes teachers, industry specialists, case managers, art therapists, a youth program developer, School Support Officers and learning support specialists.
In 2014-15, the NASSSA Community Learning Centre provided over 300 students with access to a realistic pathway to connect with their learning, engage with SACE and become inspired to complete their SACE and/or access pathways to work or further study. This resulted in over 500 SACE outcomes as some students completed more than one component as a result of the support provided.
