Established in 1980, northern Adelaide based company Warrin Mining & Construction Equipment has embarked on a new venture that will help boost investment in northern Adelaide.
Previously only selling and supporting Volvo mining and construction equipment, their new venture ‘VRents’ offers businesses the flexibility of a rental service for the same high quality equipment.
Managing Director of VRents, Chris Bradley said the wholly South Australian owned and operated company is extremely passionate about South Australia and northern Adelaide.
“We have a proud philosophy of rent local and keep the investment in South Australia,” Chris said.
“This new venture came about as we saw a gap in the market for a Volvo equipment rental services in this state.
“The rental service VRents provides will help reduce risk for business, as it means they can use high quality Volvo equipment without the capital investment of purchasing it outright.
“VRents is also supported by the in depth industry experience of local Volvo trained technicians who meticulously prepare and service equipment to ensure maximum uptime for the users”.
Chris said VRents is hoping to take full advantage of the new local participation policy being 100 per cent South Australian owned and operated.
“The local participation policy has made a significant difference to the buying patterns of the contractors on major public infrastructure projects in favour of capable, local businesses.
“We hope to take full advantage of the extra weighting given to northern based businesses when presenting our services for use on major projects.
“Volvo has recently released a new 60 tonne articulated dump truck, which we think will be perfect for major civil jobs such as the Northern Connector.
“Warrin Mining is based at Pooraka, where we employ 17 staff in areas such as sales, service and spare parts.
“As VRents gains momentum we want to employ even more local workers”.
VRents provides hi-spec Volvo Construction Equipment including excavators, wheel loaders, graders and articulated dump trucks tailored specifically to the needs of local businesses.
